Summer on the Farm

Summer on the Farm

Summer on the Farm is an educational and recreational, highly experiential program that takes place at the lush green farm of the American Farm School. Our goal is to offer children carefree days filled with games and experiences of cooperation, exploration, experimentation, discovery, and a connection with the land, its production, and the farm’s animal life.

Global environmental imperatives, such as sustainable farming practices, material recycling, circular economy, the need to reduce food waste, and sustainable energy sources, are reflected in hands-on activities including gardening, cooking workshops, animal observation and care, experiments, small-scale construction projects, youth entrepreneurship, and more. We create the right stimuli to guide children toward important nutritional, environmental, and social values. Activities involving play, sports, and the arts are always part of the experience.

This summer, the program will take place in three periods:

Period A: June 16 – June 27
Period B: June 30 – July 11
Period C: August 25 – September 5

Each day, children participate in a unique educational and recreational program held in shaded outdoor spaces. Our programs are tailored to three thematic age groups, as outlined below:

Preschool & Kindergarten
Grades 1 – 3 (Elementary School)
Grades 4 – 6 (Elementary School) & Grades 7 – 8 (Middle School)
Older children also have the opportunity to practice their English-speaking skills daily.
