Job mission:
The College Psychologist will plan, coordinate and deliver wellbeing support to higher education and SAEK students, and careers counselling to higher education students; they will serve in an advisory capacity to College leadership on evolving best practices relating to student wellbeing to inform policy development and student retention and employability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Careers Counselling:Provide individualized careers counseling and practical support to students and alumni (upon request). These may include CV development, job search techniques, cover letters, and interview techniques.
• Psychological Support:Support the promotion and deliver psychological counseling services for all higher education students.
• Events and Workshops:Coordinate the organization of wellness and career-related events and workshops.
• Leaders and Mentors Program Coordination:Coordinate and support the promotion of Higher Education Leaders & Mentors Program, weekly supervision of mentors and generation of monthly reports on students’ adjustment and needs.

Requirements and skills:

• Bachelor degree in Psychology
• Master’s degree in Career Counseling or Educational Psychology
• License to Practice Psychology in Greece
• Specialization on Psychotherapy (preferred)
• Excellent working knowledge of English Language
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• 3 years’ experience preferably working with students
• Knowledge of career counselling techniques
• Knowledge of higher education systems (preferred)
• Very good communication and listening skills, confidentiality, empathy, an ability to analyze and interpret information and problem-solving skills

The Office of Institutional Advancement of the American Farm School is looking for a talented, motivated and creative individual to join its team as a Communications Assistant and Social Media Officer.

Job Description:
The Communications Assistant and Social Media Officer will work closely with the Communications team to support the American Farm School’s communications and digital presence. The role involves developing original content in Greek and English; creating and managing content for the American Farm School’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Flickr); creating and editing video content; assisting with website content; and supporting a range of communications and marketing activities, including newsletters, digital campaigns, marketing materials, publications, and other communications projects.

Responsibilities:

• Creating engaging text, image and video content;
• Creating, filming and editing video content for social media and other digital communications channels;
• Developing and adapting content for social media, newsletters, websites, marketing materials and other communications channels;
• Researching audience preferences and current trends;
• Designing posts and communication materials to sustain readers’ interest;
• Assisting with website updates and content management;
• Planning, setting up, monitoring and optimizing paid digital campaigns through Meta Ads Manager and other advertising platforms;
• Measuring web traffic, social media performance and campaign results;
• Staying up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness;
• Monitoring online reviews and feedback from audiences;

Requirements and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, New Media or related fields or Bachelor’s Degree in any field accompanied by Certified Training in communications, new media & digital communications;
• 1 year of experience in communications, social media, digital marketing or a similar role;
• Excellent English and Greek language writing skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media best practices;
• Demonstrated experience in creating and editing video content for social media and digital platforms;
• Experience with video editing software and content creation tools;
• Experience with Meta Ads Manager and paid social media campaigns;
• Familiarity with digital advertising platforms and online marketing strategies;
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics;

Job description
The Development Officer, Corporate and Foundation Relations, works directly with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement to forward the department’s mission of generating philanthropic and community support for the School through its fundraising programs and public relations activities.  The Officer is actively engaged in working to establish long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with the U.S. corporate and foundation sector as well as the Greek foundation sector.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify sources of support;
• Prepare and submit proposals for operating, capital and endowment gifts. Manage the annual cycle of submissions, reports and other required documentation;
• Manage other development writing projects, as assigned, from inception through delivery;
• Meet with Foundations as needed;
• Interface with AFS department heads and senior academic and research staff for proposal writing and relationship-based fundraising across the Institution;
• Collaborate with other members of the School’s Advancement team as well as other AFS staff
• Research resources for foundation and corporate fundraising (including Target Analytics,Foundation Center, Guidestar, etc);
• In collaboration with the Communications team develop compelling and succinct materials that inspire philanthropic support for the School;
• Proactively seek opportunities to generate new funding proposals based on guidelines and interests and help to maintain communication ties with corporate and foundation donors and prospects.

Qualifications and Characteristics

• University studies
• Excellent and demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English and Greek
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced skills using AI applications
• Prior experience in development and fundraising work

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• PhD in related fields.
• Evidence of effective teaching ability in English and interest in pedagogy.
• Experience in supervision of student theses and dissertations.
• Good command of Greek and English language (spoken and written).
• Excellent digital skills (Office Suite, Learning Management Systems e.g. Moodle).
• Relative scientific background and professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting field and/or lab experiments, where applicable.
• Demonstrated excellence in research (publications, grants) and, for higher ranks, leadership in the field in the form of supervised doctoral and/or postdoctoral research and research group leadership.
• Possess an established research network within Greece and abroad.
• Proven ability to build partnerships between academia and industry.
• Strong work ethic, professional integrity and a collaborative work style.
• Analytical skills, communication, mentoring & advising, adaptability.
• Academic or professional experience in the United States or in American institutions worldwide, and/or familiarity with the US higher education systems will be favorably assessed.
